BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - On Tuesday, Bessemer City Council members will be voting on the massive proposed data center.

Dozens of people met Sunday to hear presentations about what’s known as “Project Marvel.” They talked about what matters most to the community and how to express that to city council .

Sara Greenspan, a Bessemer resident, stated, “What’s important to me is being able to talk to the city council leaders, because we voted them in.”

For months, concerned citizens and environmental organizations have led the fight against the proposed $14 billion data center off Rock Mountain Lake Road . Tuesday, Bessemer City Council will make a decision.
