PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - This weekend, officials confirmed reports that a flight at Portland International Airport was delayed on Thursday evening after a person brought a meat cleaver onto a plane.

According to the Port of Portland, staff on a Delta flight to Salt Lake City reported to TSA that they discovered a “hazardous item” on the plane. TSA later confirmed that a passenger had passed through a security checkpoint with a meat cleaver in their carry-on bag.

All the passengers were required to disembark and go through security again.

Port of Portland said no one was arrested in connection with the incident.
