New Delhi: Three more bodies have been taken out from the debris of a stone quarry that collapsed in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district, raising the death toll to four. Officials have confirmed the update on Monday after overnight rescue efforts.
Sonbhadra District Magistrate BN Singh said that one of the deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Indrajit, a resident of Panari in Obra. The other two bodies are yet to be identified, and officials are working on identifying who they are. The quarry had collapsed on Saturday evening, trapping several workers under heavy layers of stone.
