Early today, a passenger bus carrying Indian Umrah pilgrims met with a serious accident near Medina, Saudi Arabia. The bus, which was traveling from Mecca to Medina, collided with a stationary diesel tanker in the Mufrihat area around 1:30 PM IST on 17 November 2025.
The collision caused a massive fire, and sadly, 42 Indian pilgrims lost their lives, including 20 women and 11 children. Most passengers were asleep at the time of the crash, making it difficult for them to escape. Only one person survived and is in critical condition at a local hospital.
