The family of Pauline Quirke has given an emotional update on her health as the Birds of a Feather actress continues to fight dementia .

Diagnosed with the condition in 2021, they admit they are still uncertain about the exact stage of the disease the 66 year old is at, but "she's still funny, she's talking, she's happy."

Her husband Steve Sheen and son Charlie expressed their initial "disbelief" at her diagnosis during an interview with BBC Breakfast .
