On Monday at 3:20 a.m. the National Weather Service released a snow squall warning in effect until 4:15 a.m. for Centre and Clearfield counties.
"At 3:18 a.m., a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from Penfield to Lecontes Mills to Julian, moving southeast at 20 mph," describes the weather service. "For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the Dubois Route 255 and Snow Shoe exits, specifically from mile markers 107 to 146."
Locations impacted by the warning include Clearfield, Woodland, Penfield, Plymptonville, Snow Shoe, Moshannon, Black Moshannon State Park, Parker Dam State Park, Lecontes Mills, S.B. Elliot State Park, Morrisdale and Grassflat.
