Dubai: Fresh details have emerged on how the devastating Saudi Arabia accident occurred, claiming 42 lives and leaving only one survivor. The bus carrying Umrah pilgrims from Hyderabad was travelling towards Madinah when it collided head-on with a diesel tanker, triggering an instant inferno that left passengers with no chance of escape. Sixteen victims have been identified so far.

Telangana IT Minister D Sridhar Babu confirmed that 16 of the deceased were from Bazaarghad in Mallepally. Most of the victims were women and children from a Hyderabad-based pilgrimage group. According to reports, only one person managed to survive the blaze.
