Pune, November 17, 2025: In a major crackdown ahead of the upcoming elections, Kalepadal Police Station in Pune seized four country-made pistols and five live rounds from three habitual offenders, officials said on Monday.

Acting on directions issued by the Pune Police Commissioner to conduct combing operations across police station jurisdictions, teams were deployed to track down wanted criminals, externed individuals, and those involved in illegal firearm possession.

While patrolling the Kalepadal police limits, constables Shahid Shaikh and Dawood Sayyed received a tip-off from an informant.
