PEORIA, Ill. – Gas prices in Peoria have dropped 2.9 cents a gallon in the last week, averaging $3.18 on Monday, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 148 gas stations in Peoria.

Peoria’s prices are 2.7 cents higher than a month ago and 4.2 cents higher than this time last year.

GasBuddy says the cheapest gas in Peoria on Sunday was $2.96 a gallon while the most expensive gas was $3.39. The lowest price in the state was $2.62 while the highest price was $4.49.

GasBuddy’s national average price of gas has dropped 0.4 cents in the last week, averaging $3.03 on Monday. That’s up 1.1 cents from a month ago and 1.1 cents higher than this time last year.
