WASHINGTON - The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced increases in premiums, deductibles, and copayments for Medicare Parts A and B for 2026. The new amounts take effect on Jan. 1, 2026, according to information released late last week.
Medicare Part A covers inpatient care, such as hospital stays and skilled nursing facility services. The Part B program covers medical services like doctor visits, outpatient care, and certain medical equipment.
Part B Premiums and Deductibles
The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B will be $202.90 in 2026. This represents an increase of $17.90 from the 2025 premium of $185.00.
