A NASA astronaut has amazed fans by sharing a stunning video of northern lights glowing above North America from the International Space Station (ISS). The clip was filmed by Jonny Kim, a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy, through the ISS window. In the video, the main attraction is the green aurora glowing on the planet’s edge. As the ISS moves forward, the aurora looks like it’s shimmering and rising.

Another orange light is also visible nearby the ground, which the astronaut points out are wildfires burning in Calgary, Canada.
