An 18-year-old has appeared in court accused of murdering a 17-year-old girl. Cameron Cheng has been remanded in custody after he appeared before Newport Magistrates' Court.

He is charged with the murder of Lainie Williams. The teenager of Newbridge , Gwent , is also accused of the attempted murder of Rhian Stephens, 38, and possession of a bladed article.
