Belkin is recalling about 83,500 portable power banks and wireless charging stands sold across the U.S., citing a fire and burn hazard linked to overheating lithium-ion batteries.

According to a notice published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the affected products include charging stands with model number MMA008 and power banks with model numbers BPB002 and PB0003. The lithium-ion batteries in these devices can overheat during use, posing serious risks to consumers.

The commission warns that overheating can result in fires and burns. Belkin has received one report of a fire incident in the U.S. and 15 internationally. Two minor burn injuries and property damage totaling $37,765 have been reported outside the U.S.
