Glen Powell’s “Saturday Night Live” monologue was a full circle moment for the actor — and a surprise guest.

Powell, who stars in the new film “The Running Man,” made his “SNL” hosting debut Nov. 15 alongside musical guest Olivia Dean.

During his opening monologue, Powell recalled how he was supposed to host the late-night sketch comedy show four years ago to promote “Top Gun: Maverick,” but his plans were thwarted by a pushed release date for the film.

“When I got the call, I was on a porch with my family and we all just lost our minds,” Powell explained. “We were jumping up and down celebrating, and a UPS driver happened to be delivering a package at that exact same moment and he was like, ‘What is going on?’”
