A probe has been launched into the death of an offshore worker on a drilling rig in the North Sea .
Lee Hulse, 32, of Torry, died in the early hours of Friday, November 14, while working on the Valaris 121 oil platform , off the coast of Aberdeen.
It is understood the former Torry Academy pupil died after falling from a crane.
His death is now being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), who flew out to the platform alongside Police Scotland following his death.
Police Scotland confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.40am on Friday November 14 we received a report of the death of a 32-year-old man on a drilling rig in the North Sea.
