CLEMSON — Clemson football is one win away from bowl eligibility.
Clemson (5-5) faces Furman (6-5), an in-state FCS school, on Nov. 22 (4:30 p.m. ET, The CW) at Memorial Stadium.
The Tigers are 39-0 against FCS opponents since Division I split in 1978, winning 38 of the 39 games by double digits. They also have won 32 straight games against the Paladins, which is their longest active and all-time winning streak.
ESPN's Football Power Index gives Clemson a 99.3% chance to beat Furman or South Carolina in Week 14 to reach six wins. As a result, Clemson is projected to be bowl eligible for the 21st straight season, continuing the sport's fourth-longest active streak.
This result is still a disappointment for Clemson as the Tigers would play in a non-College Football Playoff bowl
