A busy area in Glasgow city centre has been taped off in an ongoing emergency incident.

Police and paramedics rushed to the West Regent Street and Wellington Street area of the city around 4pm on Monday, November 17, and a cordon has been erected by officers.

An eyewitness told GlasgowLive that "two pedestrians have been knocked down".

They added: "One is stable and being treated on the side of the road and another is in the ambulance, and has been rushed to hospital. The road has reopened but a police cordon is set up.

"Police are still on the scene."
