A man has been jailed for his involvement in the death of a teenage boy who was stabbed in front of his mother in their own home.
Romario Gordon, 22, was part of a machete-wielding gang who barged into 16-year-old Camron Smith’s house on the Shrublands Estate in Croydon, on July 1, 2021.
They chased the victim into his mother’s bedroom where he was fatally stabbed.
Earlier, the mob had hijacked a Toyota Prius minicab and unleashed a crimewave in south London .
The group were reportedly seeking revenge for another stabbing on July 1, 2021.
Gordon, who was 17 at the time, was later seen on CCTV fleeing from the stolen vehicle and disposing of a large machete in an adjacent road.
His Old Bailey trial had heard that he had left the country two days after the killing
