HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WMC) - A man already serving a 50-year sentence for child rape and aggravated sexual battery has been handed an additional 10 years in prison after child pornography was discovered in his jail cell.

United States Attorney D. Michael Dunavant announced that Dallas Jay Stewart, 43, who was originally sentenced in 2009, was found with an electronic storage device containing child sexual abuse material during a search of his cell.

On November 5, United States District Judge J. Daniel Breen imposed the new sentence, which includes five years of supervised release. Stewart is currently incarcerated at Whiteville Correction Facility in Hardeman County and his sentence is now slated to end in 2059, according to the Tennessee Department of Corrections (TDOC) website.
