HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Hazard City Police arrested a woman Thursday after she waved a handgun during a dispute in the Walmart parking lot.

“Officers arrived on scene and were able to determine that it was coming from an F150 somewhere around the grocery area, grocery pickup area of the parking lot,” Hazard Police Chief Zach Miller said.

The incident started as a dispute between the woman, Evelyn Nickells, and the driver of a car parked next to her, according to Miller.

“Officers were able to determine through witness statements that the female in the truck was waving a handgun,” Miller said. “So at the point officers were able to arrest her on charges.”

Nickells was charged with disorderly conduct, wanton endangerment and terroristic threatening.
