KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri officials say the person accused of causing a wreck on Interstate 29 early Sunday is now in custody.
Around 2 a.m. on Nov. 16, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to southbound I-29 at 64th Street in the northland. 29-year-old Gabriel A. Yusuf of Kansas City, Kansas, was arrested soon after on an initial investigative hold, but now faces a DWI charge.
At the scene, troopers found two cars, a Toyota Corolla driven by Yusuf and a Cadillac CTS driven by a 44-year-old man, crashed into the ditch off the right side of the interstate.
A witness to the incident described it as hectic, stating that the car at fault, the Toyota, quickly passed her vehicle before hitting the Cadillac ahead of her, causing both vehicles to crash.
