The Youth Violence and Conflict Resolution organization will host its third “Stop the Violence Youth Seminar” in Houston on Saturday, Nov. 22, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Third Ward Multi-Service Center, 3611 Ennis St.
The seminar is part of a national effort to address youth violence in Black and Brown communities, with successful events held in major cities across the country. Earlier this year, Houston hosted a well-attended session featuring Council Members Edward Pollard, Dr. Letitia Plummer and officers from Harris County Constable Precinct One, demonstrating strong local support for violence prevention.
This year’s seminar will feature Reginald “OG1” Gordon, founder of Operation Outreach OG1 and co-creator of Texas’ SCARED STRAIGHT program, and Investigator Lance Watkins of the Bay
