KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department (KPD) is investigating after three men were shot, including two who died, on I-640 West early Sunday morning.

At around 3:40 a.m., KPD said officers went to I-640 West near Gap Road, where they found three gunshot victims.

One victim died at the scene, KPD said, adding that the other two victims were taken to the UT Medical Center, where one of them were pronounced dead. The third victim remains in critical condition.

Those who died have since been identified as Troy Hutchison, 33 of Atlanta, Georgia, and Rodrell Jeter, 25 of Detroit, Michigan. The third victim, still hospitalized, has only been identified as a 22-year-old man from Detroit, Michigan.
