Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett on Sunday broke an NFL passing record that had stood for more than 30 years.
Brissett threw for a record 47 completions in the Cardinals’ 41-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The previous single-game record was 45 completions set by Drew Bledsoe in 1994 and tied by Jared Goff in 2019.
In addition to his NFL-record 47 completions, Brissett also achieved a personal best with a career-high 452 passing yards.
However, after the loss dropped the Cardinals to 3-7 on the season, Brissett said he would trade the personal accomplishments in exchange for team success.
