The franchisee that owns the Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers store in Paducah has filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
According to WKDZ, M&M Custard, LLC, based in Overland Park, Kansas, filed for reorganization and restructuring in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas. The company is said to have listed $5.2 million in assets along with $27.7 million in liabilities.
The company owns locations in Paducah, Hopkinsville, Owensboro, and Evansville. Newsweek cited KCTV, which noted that the company has stores in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
There has been no word from the company on whether stores may close as part of restructuring.
