HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - After a calm start to the week, storms will make a comeback Tuesday afternoon.

Tuesday morning may bring slight chances of scattered showers, but the day is expected to start calm. As we approach 1 p.m., the likelihood of storms will increase in the region. Storms are predicted to continue through the afternoon and evening, bringing heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Another round of storms is expected overnight. The main impacts of these storms will be damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall. Our far western counties also have a chance for large hail. A brief spin-up in Wayne and Pulaski counties is not out of the question.
