VANDALIA, Ill — By all accounts and appearances, 14-year-old Kylie Toberman’s life was looking up.
Living with her adopted mother and two sisters in a small Illinois town, she had taken up wrestling in her junior high school and had been recently voted as the team’s “most improved wrestler.”
Her biological mother, Megan Zeller, said that her daughter was brilliant and sassy with a love for animals and her sisters.
Friday morning, Kylie was reported missing and an alert was sent by the Vandalia Police Department. A few hours later, her body was found inside an RV behind the home she lived in with her mother and sisters.
