AUBURN — For the first time since 2007, the Iron Bowl will be played under the lights at Jordan-Hare Stadium , as Auburn football hosts No. 10 Alabama on Saturday, Nov. 29, with a chance to play spoiler for the Crimson Tide's College Football Playoff hopes. Auburn , should it beat FCS Mercer this weekend, will also be playing with bowl contention on the line.
The home-field advantage hasn't delivered Auburn wins in its last two tries, but it has played thrillers in each. In 2021, the Tigers fell in four overtimes, and they lost 27-24 in 2023, with a late Alabama touchdown putting it over the top.
This will also be the seventh consecutive Iron Bowl in which different head coaches will helm the programs, as interim Auburn coach DJ Durkin goes against Kalen DeBoer.
