Srinagar- Following the November 10 Red Fort blast in New Delhi that killed more than 10 people, security forces across Jammu and Kashmir have intensified vigil and launched wide-ranging search operations to prevent any potential threat, officials said on Monday.
An official said that security forces across both regions have been placed on high alert.
“Frisking has been intensified in markets, railway stations, and other public places, and CASOs are being launched to ensure public safety,” he said.
The official described the ongoing measures as the “largest-ever non-kinetic crackdown” in recent years. At the Jammu Railway Station, hundreds of additional personnel from multiple security wings have been deployed, he said.
