CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A team of 911 communicators were presented with Clinical Life Save Awards for their work during a 911 call in September.
According to a news release from the Cape Girardeau Fire Department, Fire Chief Randy Morris gave the awards on Monday morning, November 17 to lead communicator Robbie Ralph, communicator Esther Williams and communicator Dan King.
The chief said on September 30, the team received a 911 call for a patient who was barely breathing.
Because of the quick thinking of the team, the fire chief said they upgraded the call to assign more units. The patient was found in cardiac arrest and ended up making a full recovery.
