DETROIT, MI - The three Dearborn men accused of planning an ISIS-inspired attack on Halloween weekend were arraigned Monday, Nov. 17 in federal court, each entering a plea of not guilty as the terrorism case moves deeper into the federal court system.
Majed Mahmoud, 20, Mohmed Ali, 20, and his brother Ayob Nasser, 19, appeared separately before U.S. Magistrate Judge Kimberly G. Altman at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse.
Each defendant confirmed he had received the indictment, acknowledged the charges and maximum penalties, waived a formal reading and stood mute through counsel. Judge Altman entered not-guilty pleas for all three men, and their earlier consent orders for detention remain in place.
