The wife of a paramedic fatally stabbed outside a McDonald's in Sydney's south-west has shared a message of compassion for the family of the man who killed her husband.

Psychiatrists agreed Jordan Fineanganofo was in acute psychosis and experiencing auditory hallucinations when he stabbed Steven Tougher in April 2023.

One year after Justice David Davies delivered a special verdict of act proven but not criminally responsible, Madison Tougher said the finding was something she had learned to accept.
