CLEVELAND — Cleveland Browns legend Bernie Kosar posted a video message on his social media platforms Monday after undergoing liver transplant surgery at University Hospitals.

"I'm out and I'm feeling good," the 61-year-old Kosar said. "Just ready to enjoy the rest of the week and the rest of our lives." He ended the message with his signature "U Matter," a nod to his alma mater, the University of Miami.

UH provided a statement to 3News after the surgery that said, in part:

"Today, University Hospitals completed a liver transplant surgery for our patient, Bernie Kosar. As Northeast Ohio’s hometown healthcare team, it is always an honor to serve patients across our community. We are thankful to Mr. Kosar for trusting us with his healthcare needs.
