The basketball season is underway.

The NCHSAA high school boys basketball season began Nov. 14 , roughly a week after the NCISAA season got underway. Top players across the area, from Division I signees to All-WNC returnees , will take to the court this season.

Now, as the first games tip off, it's time for Western North Carolina basketball fans to vote for who they think will be the All-WNC Player of the Year in the 2025-26 season. Voting is open until noon on Nov. 21.

Gabe Clark, Andrews: Clark shot 39% from 3-point range last year and was second on the team with 14.3 points as the Wildcats finished third in the Smoky Mountain Conference.

Ian Bailey, Asheville Christian Academy: Bailey, a UNC Asheville commit , was named to the NCISAA 3A All-State team after averaging 19.3
