Despite the heartache, Caroline Peaty, mother of Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, is still hopeful for a reconciliation and has even purchased a gift for her son's upcoming wedding.

On 27 December, Adam is set to tie the knot with his fiancée Holly Ramsay, daughter of renowned chef Gordon Ramsay, in a lavish ceremony at Bath Abbey. The celebrations will continue with a reception at Kin House, a stunning Georgian estate tucked away in the Wiltshire countryside.

Unfortunately, due to an ongoing family dispute, Caroline, 59, won't be present to toast the newlyweds. However, she remains eager to extend her best wishes to her son and future daughter-in-law, having chosen a gift from their registry.
