MADISON (WKOW) — A multi-vehicle crash that blocked several lanes of traffic on the Beltline has now cleared.
The crash was reported Monday at 11:10 a.m. on U.S. Highway 12 at Todd Drive. The Madison Fire Department said one vehicle was on fire, but it was put out.
No one injuries were reported.
All westbound lanes and two left lanes eastbound were closed.
The Madison Police Department said two vehicles had been seen racing on the eastbound beltline. One of those vehicles hit an unrelated vehicle, causing it to crash into a semitruck. The unrelated vehicle then flipped onto the westbound Beltline and caught fire.
Police said three people were seen running from the scene. They got into another vehicle and left the area.
