The True North fund, headed by former Communitech chief executive officer Chris Albinson, is part of a $100-million (U.S. currency) round of investment into the e-commerce platform Faire announced Monday.
Headquartered in Waterloo and San Francisco, the latest investment enables Faire to buy back ownership shares from employees and early-stage investors.

Faire has raised more than $800 million (U.S.) since it was founded nearly nine years ago.
