Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will go at least another week without practicing, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said on Monday.
Aiyuk is “week to week,” Shanahan said. He remains on the physically unable to perform list as he looks to round back into playing condition after sustaining a severe right knee injury last season.
“When you have such a big injury like that, you wait until he’s fully comfortable to come up and start practicing,” Shanahan said on a conference call with Bay Area reporters.
Aiyuk sustained a torn ACL, torn MCL and cartilage damage in a game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Oct. 20, 2024. He underwent surgery in mid-November.
The 49ers will play their 12th game of the season on Monday night against the Carolina Panthers.
