FAULKNER COUNTY, Ark. — An Arkansas man has now been arrested after he threatened to shoot up a church in Faulkner County on Sunday.
According to reports, at about 11:37 a.m. on November 16, 2025, deputies with the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) were called to the New Bethel Church on Old Military Road.
Officials say that Anthony Perkins had reportedly threatened to shoot up the church and the people inside.
Several people who were at the church then attempted to talk Perkins down until police arrived, but he was able to dodge them and instead went into his home, which was next door.
Once deputies arrived at the scene, they set up a perimeter around his home and also closed down the road to any traffic attempting to pass through. The Faulkner County Special Response Team then
