US President Donald Trump brushed off concerns about his raspy voice on Monday with a story only he could tell. His hoarse tone, he insisted, wasn’t illness -- just the result of yelling at people who were "stupid" about trade. "I was shouting at people because they were stupid about something having to do with trade in a country," he told reporters. "And I straightened it out, but I blew my stack at those people."
The president wouldn’t name the country that had earned the outburst, saying only that it tried to renegotiate the terms of their trade deal and that he "wasn’t happy about it". But he repeatedly stressed that his health was not a problem. Asked directly, he said he felt "great".
