WEST WARWICK, Rhode Island. (WFSB) - Two 19-year-old Connecticut women died Saturday night when their car veered off Route 95 and struck a tree in West Warwick, Rhode Island State Police said.

Ayanna Voyak of Hartford was pronounced dead at the scene. Aisha Jules of New London died from her injuries at Rhode Island Hospital.

The crash happened at around 11:38 p.m. Saturday, police said.

When state troopers arrived, they found a silver Toyota that had lost control, exited the highway and struck a tree. All six occupants were trapped inside the vehicle.

Five of the occupants were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with injuries.

The Rhode Island State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
