ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The case to remove St. Louis Sheriff Alfred Montgomery will go to trial on Tuesday.

A writ of quo warranto filed by then-Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey in June alleges that Montgomery was not fulfilling his duty as sheriff. The charges filed by then-Attorney General Andrew Bailey said that Montgomery:

Unlawfully detained Deputy Commissioner of St. Louis City Justice Center

Unlawfully arrested a licensed private security guard

Failed to transport prisoners for medical treatment

Misused public resources to pick up his children from school

Failed to manage the finances of the office responsibly
