For the first time in the 2025-26 cold season, the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a winter weather advisory.
There's no shock and awe with this advisory, but it is in place because overnight snow could accumulate up to three inches along a narrow corridor of southern Minnesota. It's possible that the narrow band of accumulating snow impacts the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities metro.
"Quick accumulations of a few inches are possible in time for the Tuesday morning commute along a line from Canby and Redwood Falls, to the southern Twin Cities metro, to just south of Eau Claire," the National Weather Service says.
