ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Cobb County police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian over the weekend.

Around 7:19 p.m. Saturday, police said a 20-year-old Marietta man was crossing South Cobb Drive at Waldrep Circle in Fair Oaks.

There is no marked crosswalk for South Cobb Drive at the location.

At the same time, a white 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north on South Cobb Drive toward Waldrep Circle.

Police said the man walked into the path of the Chevrolet, which hit him and kept going. He was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries.

Police said they found the Silverado but they’re still working to identify the driver.
