New Mexico's days of November sunshine and above-average temperatures could soon be in the rearview.
Meteorologists predict two or three more storm systems — following Sunday night's — will pass through the state over the next seven to 10 days. This week, that means cooler weather and heightened precipitation chances, including higher chances for mountain snow.
Tuesday will bring breezy afternoon conditions, meteorologist Randall Hergert said at a Monday briefing by the National Weather Service's Albuquerque office. Later in the day, some showers will start to enter far Western New Mexico as a storm system travels from Southern California and through Arizona.
Snow on Tuesday and Wednesday is only predicted for elevations higher than 9,000 feet.
