A California defense technology contractor has chosen Sandoval County as the site for a new solid rocket motor manufacturing campus, a project that is expected to create more than 300 high-paying jobs, state officials announced Monday.
The 1,000-acre campus, known as Project Ranger, will enable rapid, scalable production of advanced, long-range systems by Castelion Corp., according to a news release from the New Mexico Economic Development Department.
Project Ranger is projected to generate more than $650 million in economic impact over 10 years, state officials said, with the company investing more than $100 million over the project’s first four years of development.
