INDIANAPOLIS — There are more concerns from residents in the Martindale Brightwood neighborhood over a proposed data center .
If approved it may be located near the intersection of East 25th Street and North Sherman Drive.
It's a story 13News has been following for months now.
"Martindale Brightwood refuses to be a dumping ground for harmful development," resident Cierra Johnson said.
Johnson, with the Protect Martindale Brightwood Neighborhood Coalition , was among a handful who spoke against a proposed AI data center Monday.
"It offers nothing that improves the daily lives of Martindale Brightwood residents," Johnson said.
The company behind the proposal is Metrobloks . Last month, they filed for rezoning of the 13-acre land, which sits behind Safeway near 25th and Sherman.
