JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Magic Valley-Jerome expansion project received more than $2.8 million in federal funding to help build a 20,000-square-foot youth development center.
Congressman Mike Simpson advocated for the project and said he was excited to see it pass.
“This project had more people and organizations support it than any project we’ve ever done,” Simpson said. “This is important to the Magic Valley, it’s important to the youth in the Magic Valley, the development of the youth in the Magic Valley, and I have been a supporter of Boys and Girls Clubs across the country.”
The non-profit has only been in Jerome since 2022 and currently resides in two schools, Summit Elementary and Frontier Elementary.
“It’s to meet the needs of the communities.
