CHALLIS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A Custer County man is heading to prison after law enforcement said he admitted to murdering a man before dismembering and burning his remains.
Alan Bruce, 70, was sentenced to 20 years in prison with 10 years fixed for the murder of Patrick Shelton, 47, in May 2025, according to Local News 8 . Bruce pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and destruction of evidence in an Alford plea filed in October.
