FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky Family and Community Engagement in Education Week runs Nov. 17-21, and state education officials marked the start of the week by unveiling a new online Parent and Family Connection Hub.
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) launched the hub on Monday after the agency’s Family Partnership Council recommended creating a centralized place for families to find guidance and resources. The council, made up of parents from across the state, advises KDE on issues that affect families and school communities.
“Through the work of this dedicated group, the need for an easier way for parents and families to access educational information was brought to light,” said Marsha VanHook, chair of the Family Partnership Council.
